Anthony W. D'Souza, M.D.

Anthony W. D'Souza, M.D. graduated with first class honors from the University of Bombay, India, in 1971, thereafter completing his medical degree, also with honors, from the University of Bombay in 1977. He did his Medical Residency and Chief Residency at Lincoln Misericordia New York Medical College in 1981 and completed a Cardiology Fellowship at Bridgeport Hospital in 1984. His interests include Preventive Cardiology and Cardiovascular Imaging and he is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. D'Souza is a Senior Attending Physician at Griffin Hospital in Derby, Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, and Bridgeport Hospital. He was selected for the 1995 Physician of the Year Award by the Griffin Hospital Nursing Staff and the 1993 Humanistic Award by the Bridgeport Hospital Nursing Staff. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Chest Physicians and American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He holds a board certification in echocardiography.

Dr. D'Souza is married to Sally and they have four children.
